👥 The organising team

From now on, the event is run by the Geneva Queer Tango Meetings association, set up specifically to organise it and following on directly from previous editions. It is led by Katia, Michèle and Benoît.

🌈 The spirit of GVAQTM

GVAQTM is first and foremost a space for the queer community: it matters deeply to us that everyone can dance, experiment and grow in a caring and respectful environment.

The vast majority of our participants are part of the queer community. We also welcome a few people from outside it, provided they share the spirit of the event and are willing to take part in exploring both roles.

If you are not familiar with questions of gender, or with the realities queer people live with, we invite you to read the code of conduct of our association.

We’ll ask you to keep them in mind during the event: some missteps, however unintended, can be experienced as hurtful or even violent.

These few guidelines help avoid awkward situations, and contribute to an environment where everyone feels respected and safe.

💆 Massages

We’re pleased to welcome four therapists this year, offering a range of massages. Sign-ups take place on site, at the entrance.

Cédric Lalaison: Deep Tissu Massage
Sandrine Duquesne: Wùo Taï
Kim Schifferli: Physiotherapy – sports and classic massage
Sohpie Matter: Classic massage

🙋 Volunteering

There are always many requests to volunteer, and we answer them in order of registration.

Volunteering at 50 % earns you a 50 % discount in exchange for 6 hours of work. At 100 %, entry is free in exchange for 12 hours.

Where possible, please choose 50 % slots, so that as many people as possible can benefit — in particular those on a tight budget.

Accommodation is not included in volunteering.

🛏️ Accommodation

Looking for somewhere to stay? Post in our dedicated Facebook group. That’s where participants find each other to share a hotel room or an Airbnb — teaming up is still the easiest way to keep costs down.

The highlights of this edition will be captured by our two wonderful photographers, Diana M Photography and Luis Orlando Martinez.

🎼 The GVAQTM Orchestra

For this coming edition we wanted to spoil you with a slightly mad, ambitious idea that we hope you’ll love.

We want to create a Geneva Queer Tango Meeting orchestra, bringing together musicians from our community who’d like to play a few pieces on Saturday evening. It’ll be a chance to share a unique musical moment and make the dance floor come alive together.

The orchestra will be led by Romain de Mesmay, a well-known tango violinist (l’ArmenonvilleSilbando…) with plenty of experience coaching tango school orchestras.

Scores (or audio) will be sent out in advance, and the orchestra will rehearse on Friday and Saturday from 16:00 to 18:00 in a room at the GVAQTM venue, to put the pieces together and work on the stylistic details that let everyone play as one on stage.

Any questions? Get in touch with Romain (romain@larmenonville.fr, +33 6 22 06 18 46).

If you’d like to take part, please fill in the form below by 1 October 2026.

✍️ Register now !

Places are limited, to keep the floor flowing and the energy high.

When you register, you will be asked to accept the association’s code of conduct and the general terms and conditions of our event.

We can’t wait to see you in Geneva, to celebrate dancing, warm abrazos and wonderful encounters together. 💜
